Fix MULTIfamily seeks a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to handle routine maintenance and repair tasks across our multi-family properties. This role is essential in ensuring our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for tenants and owners. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with minor repairs, property upkeep, and preventative maintenance. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and comfort with basic technology for reporting are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
Inspect if needed, identify maintenance issues, estimate repair costs, and assess tenant-caused damages.
Document findings in Google Sheets/ Monday.com/ Company Cam and communicate with management.
Perform routine maintenance (battery replacements, unclogging drains, tightening fixtures).
Act as a runner, delivering supplies, notices, and portable AC to properties as needed.
Address urgent maintenance requests promptly.
Update Monday.com to track task progress and communicate with the team via WhatsApp.
Perform handyman-related repairs such as but not limited to water heater replacement, repairs, and troubleshooting, battery replacements (smoke detector, thermostat), drywall patch-up, repair and painting, plumbing repairs (unclogging drains, p-trap replacement, garbage disposal installation, faucet replacement, leak tracing and repair, fixtures and toilet replacement/installation)
Perform preventative maintenance checks and minor repairs.
Maintain inventory of essential maintenance supplies.
Schedule & Availability
Flexible schedule—we prefer someone who can work 5 days per week.
Must be available between 10 AM - 4 PM on scheduled workdays.
On-call for emergency maintenance during weekends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in handyman work, property maintenance, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail for inspections and repair assessments.
Comfortable using Google Sheets, Monday.com, Company Cam, and WhatsApp for task tracking and communication.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement available).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (e.g. inspect above ceiling, confident in using ladders, clean air vents/ dryer vents)
Experience with painting, drywall, plumbing, water heater, light cleaning, light landscaping and/ or light electrical work. Dryer vent cleaning is a plus.
Must be able to provide quotes and estimates accurately and within the market value based on photos/ videos.
