SORTERS & PROCESSORS NEEDED
DAY SHIFTS 730AM TO 3PM
MONDAYS TO SATURDAYS WITH A DAY OFF DURING THE WEEK.
SEASONAL WORKER OR FULL TIME WORKERS
FULL TIME - 40 HOURS PER WEEK
PART TIME - 30 HOURS PER WEEK
Base Pay Rate: Starting @ $14.50 per hour w/ the ability to earn bonus/incentives/raises.
Employment is contingent on criminal background check.
JOB SUMMARY:
All employees are a vital part to the daily operation of Sunshine Acres Boutique and Donation Center Inc. They are often the first (or only) faces customers see and interact with as they shop in our stores, drop off their donations, or come pick up their purchased merchandise. Customer service skills and ability to multitask in a team environment are important to the success of daily customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Price all items with a colored label of the week while utilizing the pricing guide provided (do not deviate from SKUs provided without management permission).
2. Wheel finished cart out to retail zone for team to place on the floor.
3. Sort merchandise (Hard or Soft) as needed to increase pricing product flow.
4. Alter pricing on certain departments as determined by Assistant Processing Manager & reporting.
5. Keep a constant flow of merchandise flowing and help maintain the pace as established by the Assistant Processing Manager.
6. Is able to daily perform any of the required job duties within the processing team. This includes all requirements related to accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.
7. As needed, welcome donors in a timely manner in a way that they feel confident that Sunshine Acres appreciates them and understands their value.
8. As needed, handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including, greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the Sunshine Acres story, repeating details back to donor and issuing a receipt.
9. Help maintain clean and well-organized reception, pre-sort and processing areas.
10. Maintain clean and well-organized personal processing station.
11. Ability to recognize quality merchandise and effectively seek guidance on pricing from Assistant Processing Manager.
12. Always keep merchandise flowing. If you are running low on carts to price, communicate to Assistant Processing Manager to increase flow and jump into sorting.
13. Keep a positive attitude & work as a team to hit the overall processing goal!
14. You must use the pricing guide provided to label all merchandise (bulk, specialty items, and small items are exceptions.)
15. Any quality control issues please report to APM.
16. Personal cell phone use is to be kept to an absolute minimum and must be done away from the processing floor.
17. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Must be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills.
2. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a problem solver and be able to work with a minimum of supervision and take initiative.
3. Excellent time management skills.
4. Must possess a demonstrable level of skill and proficiency in planning to meet established goals.
5. Computer skills to include general typing skills.
6. Ability to access web sites to help evaluate the value of donated items.
7. Ability to read and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
8. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required.
1 years’ experience in intake, warehouse, or processing work preferred.
1 years’ experience in a team lead position preferred.

Moderate physical activity. Depending on location, this position may require frequent strenuous activity. Able to lift at least 50 pounds. Use hands to lift, sort, clean, organize throughout a standard workday. Depending on location, this position may work in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure throughout the workday. Will have to wear name badge.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Full time, Monday through Saturday, 40+ hours per week. Some Saturdays are mandatory.
