Sun Valley Bees is local small business based out of Phoenix, Az. We sell raw local honey at farmers markets and events around the valley and have been in business for 7 years now. We are looking to hire the right people to join our team. We have fun at our markets and our customers are very thankful.
We have a few farmers markets and events now in the winter and all the way through the summer. Hours are usally 9am-1am for markets and Events can last up to 8 hours.
What we require:
Must be presentable
Highschool or college student preferred but not necessary
Must be outgoing and friendly and have a great personality
Bilingual in Spanish but not necessary
Good listener
Good customer service skills
Being punctual
Must be able to keep your area clean and organized
Must be flexible and be able to work with others
Must be able to greet and start conversations with people
Must have some sales experience
Must Be a go getter and be motivated to work
To be able to multitask and handle multiple sales at once
Must have your own Suv/Van/truck to drive to pick up product and to the markets. Suv or truck preferred but a big car will work too. Please don't email if the car is not yours or small.
Must be able to stand for up to 4-8hours
Your own working smart phone Iphone or Samsung to be able to take credit card transactions through square
To be able to physically load a 10x10 canopy in your car or truck and set it up at the market along with a 6 foot table and to be able to carry honey cases to set up. About 50 pounds.
What we're looking for is someone who is committed to working their market or event and has integrity and is motivated to work. Someone who loves bees and likes honey. Also someone that likes being outdoors because you will be working under a canopy.
This is a part time position usually on Saturdays and Sundays for a few hours in the mornings or can last up to 8 hours and we also need you to have open availability possibily for weekday markets as well. Events normally are Friday-Sunday and our Dress code is casual.
You will have paid training at $12 an hour for 1-2 days and then get your own market or event.
Compensation:
You will be paid based on an hourly rate of $15. But based off of performance can get up to $20 an hour plus a bonus. Most of my workers average between $15-$25 an hour or more. Events are paid a straight $15 an hour plus a bonus.
