Self taught Linux or C programmers for AI chip design

At Western Semiconductor, we are looking for ambitious and smart engineering and embedded programming wannabes to become chip designers and AI system engineers. We have successfully run our apprentice program for 20 years now. Many of our engineers and programmers have come from the program.

The majority of our engineers are international MSEEs that graduated within the last 2 years from universities from around the US. We are looking for US citizens to handle DoD projects. We don't care about the degrees. We are more interested in techies who google and figure things out.

This starts out as a 20 hours per week voluntary position. You need to show us that you deserve to be on payroll. As a voluntary engineer or programmer, you will be initially be working on non-proprietary circuits and software.

We are both an EDA company and IC design house. This video explains what our company already accomplished after 20 years (EDA tools):

This is an example of an AI chip that can be done with our tools, along with embedded programs

Our office in downtown Tempe is loaded with MSEE graduates, MSEE students, and BSEE/BSCS dropouts (many intentionally left University engineering programs to join us)

For the MSEE's this is similar to a PhD program. This is beyond what most MSEE learn. The present methods of teaching is just plain wrong. We teach real circuit design.

This is not a position for dummies. If you are looking for work / life balance, this is the wrong company for you. We are an extreme Silicon Valley type company
