Title: Board Operator / Backup Production KFNX
Job Description and Responsibilities:
KFNX Radio is expanding its operations and programming staff and has an immediate opening for a highly motivated professional. A Part Time talk radio board operator and production assistant is needed to run radio shows for AM talk radio station. 1100 KFNX is Arizona’s Fastest Growing Radio Station: The new home of the CBS Radio Network, and Arizona Wildcats sports, plus many of the biggest names in Talk. KFNX covers the entire Phoenix metro area, and beyond.
Job Tasks include: running engineer board, answering phones, assisting hosts. Other duties could include: voiceover work, backup production, loading and editing radio shows / commercials - radio related paperwork and affidavits, attending staff meetings, and other internal office reporting.
Comprehensive education and training will be provided by management.
Qualifications:
Applicant must have technical skills, audio editing comprehension, and computer knowledge (including Internet, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). Video production / editing and Social Media skills a bonus, but not necessary to apply
Candidates should possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude, be organized, and communicate well on-air and in written form. A car in working order, car insurance, and a valid driver’s license is not required, but preferred. The candidate must pass a drug test and a background check.
Work Experience: Prior broadcast work experience or equivalent preferred
Note: Previous experience is not necessary to apply, but applicants with experience will get preferential treatment
Education: college degree or broadcasting school equivalent a plus
Job Status: Part Time (to start)
Note: With on job growth and success, anyone hired can receive increased hours, and Job has potential to grow to Full
Time over time.
