Job Description
The Director of Event Technology Sales is responsible for all aspects of A/V sales and service, including configuration and set up of equipment to meet all audio/visual requirements.
Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of operating experience in an audio visual role that provides services to groups and meeting guests in a hotel/resort environment
- Responsible for selling over $1M in revenues
- Must have a positive personality and can-do attitude
- Individual should have some schooling or direct apprentice history to support their qualifications
- Experience with all aspects of hospitality meeting audio visual (audio, lighting, visual, projection, basic IT issues, basic telephone line installation, scenic, etc)
- Be comfortable attending to the design, set-up and tear down of all equipment
- Excellent in-person, telephone, e-mail and written communication skills
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products - specifically PowerPoint (the chosen meeting aid for most resort events)
- IT/Computer skills preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair audio visual equipment and accessories
