Independent auto shop is seeking an assistant manager. We will train you. Preferably a woman but will consider all applicants. The ideal candidate might be someone fresh out of a 2 year college with a 2yr degree in business but a degree or college is not required. a high school / GED is required.
We would like someone who is interested in automotive as a career who wants to learn the industry and grow. With 2 or 3 years of experience you would be able to go to any auto dealership or repair shop and earn $85,000 to 95,000 per year plus possible commission as a manager or service writer or earn that with our company by growing with us. We are willing to train you from scratch and bring you forward in this industry. Some of the job would entail checking in and billing out customers at the counter, assigning work to techs, answering phone calls, possibly using a mini van to drop off a customer or pick them up. Other aspects would be using the computer to enter customer info and look up labor times and search for parts cost and availability from our various vendors.

Some soft sales skills, ability to explain things
Some auto parts knowledge (not required)
Some Mechanical knowledge of cars (not required)
Ability to learn quickly and absorb knowledge

Be somewhat tough and not oversensitive
Be self motivated / self starter
Be able to follow directives and follow protocols
High intelligence is a plus

Be reliable and punctual.

Have a valid AZ drivers License
Be drug free and able to pass a drug test (weed ok)
Be quick on the fly, quick thinker
Live not more than 30 minutes from east valley in traffic.
Have reliable vehicle
The schedule would be 5 days per week, closed Sundays and a shorter day on Saturday's with a day off during the week. Shift would be 8am- 5pm, or 9pm- 6pm, or 8:30-5:30pm, whatever is better for you. Mon-Fri. More hours possible if desired. You will probably need to "float between 2 different locations, meaning some days at one location and others at a different location. Both in the east valley.
Raise review after first 90 days. As you progress commission can be an option as well. This is a career opportunity not just a job.
