Position & Description
This position is responsible for repairing vehicle's mechanical components, diagnosing problems with cars/ trucks, performing repairs and assisting with daily shop operations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Automotive Mechanic
· Inspect vehicles to accurately diagnose and repair
· Repair or replace worn / malfunctioning parts
· Knowledge of manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
· Knowledge of how to use and maintain tools
· Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately
· Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
· Support Service Manager with vehicle repairs
· Second set of hands for heavy line repairs
Shop Operation
· Move vehicles in and around shop
· Shop maintenance including cleaning floors, trash removal, etc.
· Shop organization including equipment, tools, supplies and parts
Job Requirements
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to follow verbal and written directions
· Desire to learn and develop technical abilities
· Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Have full body mobility and be able to twist, turn, bend at the waist, and squat
· Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time with hands above the head
· Willing to work in varying weather and temperature conditions
Time Commitment
· Full Time - 40 hours per week plus overtime.
· Monday through Friday between 9am and 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm
