Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, and quality-driven Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models. You will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to quality service, safety, and customer satisfaction in a modern, well-equipped facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using advanced computerized diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and testing equipment.
- Perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, electrical, brake, and suspension systems, in accordance with manufacturer and shop standards.
- Conduct thorough multi-point inspections to identify pre-existing or potential safety and performance issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Document all work performed on the repair order clearly and accurately, including parts used and labor hours.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members to ensure transparent communication with customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Road test vehicles when necessary to confirm the quality of repairs and ensure customer concerns have been resolved.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic.
- Certifications: ASE Certifications are highly preferred, or a willingness to obtain them.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive systems (mechanical and electrical) and proficiency in using diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally more), and to work in demanding physical positions (bending, squatting, standing for long periods).
- Tools: Must possess a valid driver's license and have a personal set of tools appropriate for the experience level (specialty tools may be provided by the shop).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
