We are looking to add another experienced engine builder and machanic to our premier boutique automotive restoration shop to help build engines for the cars we restore and to do typical repair work on older cars. Our specialty is Jeep and AMC performance builds however we build engines for all brand cars. A typical performance build has over 400 HP and out high HP builds are well over 500 HP. We take old collector cars and make them new again and the current opportunity is for an experienced engine builder and mechanic with your own machinist measuring tools needed to blueprint each build in order to ensure that all machine work is done correctly and that all reused and new parts are within spec.
Although we also do traditional maintenance and repairs on collector cars, our primary business is high end restorations and engine builds for older cars that people plan to keep for many years. Nearly all the restoration work is done in house which makes this a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning the collector car restoration trade in addition to performing engine builds and traditional mechanical work. Full and part time employees get a week's paid vacation per year plus 7 paid holidays (prorated for part time workers). We offer a monthly bonus to assist with health care premium cost and a significant quarterly profit sharing bonus. If you are interested in becoming a member of our highly regarded classic car restoration team plus learning restoration skills, please contact us for an interview.
Many of our employees have been with us for over 10 years and our wages and benefit package are very competitive in the marketplace PLUS our restoration shop is a great place to work. Owning and knowing how to use machinist measuring tools required for engine building as well as having your own mechanics tool set and verifiable references are required.
