Job Description:
The Commercial Sheet Metal Installer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sheet metal products in commercial buildings. This includes working with ductwork, HVAC systems, and various other sheet metal projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, including ducts, hoods, and HVAC systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools.
Secure metal parts to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet industry standards and company specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sheet metal installations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sheet metal fabrication or HVAC preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sheet metal installer or in a related field.
Proficient in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing sheet metal.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
Excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
