Concrete Worker is responsible for preparing, pouring, and finishing concrete for a variety of construction projects. work on commercial projects, such as patios, sidewalks, driveways, and walls and larger projects, such as foundations, dams, bridges, and roads. Concrete Workers must be skilled in reading blueprints and measurements, operating power tools, and mixing and pouring concrete. They must also have a good understanding of the properties of concrete in order to ensure a high-quality finish. Concrete Workers must take safety precautions when working with potentially hazardous materials and equipment.
Concrete Worker Duties
Mix cement and other materials to form concrete
Spread and level concrete using screeds, trowels, and other tools
Cut, shape, and finish concrete surfaces
Install concrete forms and reinforcing materials
Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete
Inspect and maintain tools and equipment
Follow safety protocols
