Looking for someone to join our finish/trim carpentry company! #1 requirement is to be a positive problem solver. We are a small company, I care a lot about the people that work here and want what we do to be as enjoyable as possible. A good attitude and approach to the craft comes first. I do not mind training people, we have very skilled carpenters to learn from.
Responsibilities vary depending on level of experience. Someone with a lot of experience will be tasked with executing and leading the install scope. An apprentice would be tasked with helping the lead carpenter in any way necessary, being an extra hand, installing, anticipating the needs of the job site, etc…
Our locations vary daily, with jobs ranging from a day to multiple weeks. We work throughout the valley but predominantly in very North Scottsdale, PV, Fountain Hills, and DC Ranch. It is necessary for any applicant to have reliable transportation, able to carry tools in their vehicle, and maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Our work is trim carpentry, we cover about every finish carpentry aspect in a home, focusing mostly on door installs, hardware, and decorative millwork. We also take on special projects that include shop-style work, cabinet installs, etc… We work on high-end new custom home builds, commercial projects, and remodels. All the work we do is to the highest level, so quality installs and attention to detail are paramount.
If you have ever worked in custom environments you know things change often, things are done and redone, so this is where a good attitude and patience are critical.
Regarding pay, this is an hourly w-2 full-time position. We have some paid holidays, no insurance at the moment. There is inherent flexibility in working for a company our size. Hourly rate will be determined on an individual basis and will be decided on factors such as experience, responsibility assumed, and tool situation.
