A local trucking company is looking for a highly skilled diesel mechanic to perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on its’ fleet of trucks and trailers.
Qualifications:
3+ years of diesel mechanic experience
Valid driver’s license
Highly motivated and independent
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues on Peterbilt 579s and KW T680s, Paccar and Cummins engines, manual 13/18 spd and automatic 12 spd transmissions.
Responsibilities:
-Perform regularly scheduled maintenances on trucks, trailers, checking batteries and lights, inspecting braking systems, inspecting wheel bearings and seals, and troubleshooting any major mechanical failures.
-Prioritize jobs and complete work orders in a timely fashion
-Maintain a clean and safe work space
