Frontend Loader Operator
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Department: Mulch Department
Reports to: Department Supervisor
The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a heavy equipment loader, pushes or relocates piles to ensure segregation of materials. Supplies Screen-It with a continuous supply of material. Monitors the stockpiles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles, extinguishes small fires and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use. Maintains equipment
Key Responsibilities
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, water truck, screen-it, grinder, water truck and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by management and company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in a dusty, dirty environment.
Ability to work in all-weather elements, including heat and cold.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment.
Qualifications for the Position
Two or more years of experience using a Front End Loader.
Open to 2nd or 3rd shift positions and willing to work weekends
Experience loading out Commercial trucks.
