Local construction company looking to immediately hire a mechanic to be responsible for safely and competently repairing pickup trucks and various equipment at the equipment yard and out in the field. Welding and fabrication skills a plus. Full time/Part time
Duties:
The General Shop Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining inventories or supplies.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintenance of Company equipment
Service trucks and equipment and also maintain a clean and safe work area
Pull new parts from inventory or order as needed
Submit purchase orders for payment
Initial, Monthly, and Annual Inspections of Equipment
Oil and fluid changes, general maintenance, running errands
Repair brakes
Perform suspension work
Replace brake systems
Perform basic welding
Install hydraulic kits; rebuild or repair engines.
Your duties will be primarily performed at our shop location, with some field service as required
Ability to maintain documentation on all repairs
Maintain positive relationships and communication with co-workers and management
Consistently communicate status of vehicles to management
Responsible for working in a safe manner at all times, reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
Mechanic truck provided·
The Ideal Candidate has Experience in the Following Areas:
Diesel Engines, Brake Systems, Basic Hydraulics, Electrical Troubleshooting
Minimum 1 to 3 years of mechanical experience
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Valid and Clean AZ Drivers License is required
