Cox Cactus Farm is Arizona's premier wholesale supplier of high-quality plant material, serving landscape contractors, retail nurseries, and wholesale outlets throughout Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and beyond. As a leading grower with over 220 acres across four locations, we are expanding rapidly and seeking a skilled Grower to contribute to our continued success.
Grower
The Grower will oversee all aspects of commercial-scale plant cultivation, including grafting, soil management, water quality, pest control and prevention, troubleshooting, and conducting research.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimize growing strategies to achieve high quality, high yield, high-performance plant growth.
- Manage growing on a large scale.
- Work with the management team to maintain organization and control of operations.
- Manage grafting, pest control, plant health, etc.
- Ensure product quality and yields are achieved.
- Develop and maintain SOPs related to all growing processes to be used by employees.
- Continually update the team on new techniques, plant or soil findings, and processes to constantly improve.
- Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
- This is a full-time position working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Job Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must speak English and Spanish
- Working knowledge of techniques used for the production and culture of cactus and plants.
- Must be able to use irrigation clocks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Pesticide Applicator License, preferred but not required.
Schedule Expectations
- Primary work hours will vary seasonally: Spring/Fall (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), Summer (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), Winter (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM). Flexibility may be required based on business needs.
- This position requires regular travel between our locations. A company vehicle will be provided. The typical weekly schedule includes three days at our Tonopah yard, one day at our North Phoenix yard, and one day at our Marana yard.

Pay & Benefits
- This is a full-time position with a salary range of $80k-$100k per year, based on experience.
