We are looking for a Sheet Metal Shop Manager and a Sheet Metal Fabricator to work in our metal shop.
This is not a welding position.
You must have reliable transportation to the shop (Tempe/PHX Airport Area) each day and an active driver’s license as you may be required to make deliveries to our customer and jobsite locations.
We will train you on the day-to-day job duties and machinery in the shop.
If you have experience cutting and notching sheet metal for HVAC duct we may consider you for the Shop Manager position.
If you do have experience working in a shop or in a trade, we would offer a higher starting pay based on your experience.
Responsibilities
Fabricating duct work includes:
Insulating
Metal Cutting
Spot Welding
Bending Metal
Pin Spotting
Most of this is done by operating machinery and the rest is done by hand.
Skills Required
Properly use tape measures and other measuring devices
Can lift 50 pounds
Can accurately measure and cut materials
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Positive attitude
Self motivated
Ability to stand and work on feet in a warehouse
Working Conditions
This job is located in a warehouse environment and requires constant standing, walking, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. Working inside, around moving objects and with vehicles and machinery with moving parts.
