Position: Painter

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities: As a Painter at Papago Vans, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for ensuring the flawless finish of our custom van interiors. Key responsibilities include:

Surface Preparation: Prepare all new and existing van components for paint or wall covering, ensuring surfaces are ready to receive coatings.

Masking and Covering: Skillfully mask and cover areas as required to protect adjacent surfaces during the painting process.

Paint Application: Mix, carry, and apply paints to walls, ceilings, and trim, employing brushing, rolling, and spraying techniques as needed.

Cabinet and Wood Section Painting: Paint, prime, and prep cabinets and various wood sections inside and outside of vans with precision and attention to detail.

Polyurethane Application: Utilize spraying techniques to apply polyurethane and other protectants, achieving a smooth and protective coating.

Masking for Ceilings: Hand or machine mask ceilings as required for specific projects.

Cleanliness and Safety: Clean, protect, move materials, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Proven experience as a Painter, with expertise in interior painting, priming, prepping, and light touch-up work.

Familiarity with spraying and applying polyurethane.

Proficient in surface preparation techniques, including masking and covering.

Ability to mix and apply a variety of paints using different methods.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Capacity to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Understanding of safety protocols related to painting and finishing processes.

Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain all paint equipment, ensuring proper functionality and longevity.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20-$26 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift

4x10's

Weekends as needed

7am-5:30pm Monday - Thursday

Experience-

Commercial painting: 2 years (Preferred)

Construction painting: 2 years (Preferred)

Residential painting: 2 years (Required)

Work Location: In person- Mesa
