Lead Water Mitigation Technician
The Water Mitigation Technician assists in the technical activities necessary to restore or repair commercial and residential properties damaged by fire, smoke, water, mold, bio-hazard and other factors. Must responds to job sites as directed, and performs all tasks in accordance with company and industry certified standards.
Responsibilities:
The Mitigation Technician Lead is responsible for providing technical direction for jobs and projects involving fire, smoke, water, mold and bio-hazard restoration. Assist in overseeing and the coordination of all facets of restoration
Jobs in Water Mitigation, Mold Remediation and Fire Damage Restoration
Responding to daily emergency services such as water, fire, and smoke damage jobs.
Extracting water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment.
Removing damaged or wet building materials such as carpet, pad, baseboard, cabinets, drywall, etc.
Take moisture readings, measurements, set up commercial drying equipment.
Assists the Dispatcher in the assignment of new jobs, monitoring, and demo’s
Assist’s in the scheduling and ensuring personnel are responding and performing job functions, and are completing paper work accurately and completely
Will provide input to the Supervisor and or Management on disciplinary action when required
Will assist the Supervisor in overseeing Setup, monitoring, and movement of equipment needed for water extraction and drying of premises
Duties include ensuring that Demolition and debris removal is completed.
Oversee projects and ensure Sewage Cleanup and cleaning is completed to IICRS standards
Structural and Content Cleaning
Provide accurate and detailed measurements, diagrams, photos, journals, work orders, and other documentation, as required for each job
Other duties include:
Maintain a neat and orderly worksite and obey all safety rules and regulations in order to prevent work hazards
Ensures company vehicle(s) are clean and organized fashion; ensuring it is stocked with the equipment and supplies necessary to perform all work required at designated job sites
Assist other departments and provide guidance to other technicians
Must communicate clearly and succinctly with clients, managers, team members, and other parties.
Assist Dispatch and Management in the “on-call” rotation for emergency after hour calls, in situations where the assigned personnel are unavailable may require re-assignment of technicians
Assist in checking of jobs to ensure completion of work and adherence to requirements.
Checking that equipment is properly placed and size of equipment to maximize efficiency
Reviewing of documentation and paper work to see if complete and correct
Be the technical and go-to person with regards to water damage losses
Provide some supervision when directed
Other job responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor and/or management
Job Requirements:
Ability to understand and follow directions and relay those directions to the other Team members
Possess a positive attitude and bring it to work everyday
Possess strong communication skills, verbal and written. Applicants must be fluent in English (Spanish speaking a plus)
A strong desire to work with your hands and mind
The ability to work flexible hours and days as required by our clients
Motivated to advance within our growing company
Be able to lift a minimum of 75-100lbs
Participate in 24-hour emergency on call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays)
Be able to work more than 7 consecutive days when required due to work load o a large loss
No fear of heights or confined spaces
Comply with all safety regulations

Excellent customer service and technical skills.
Must have prior experience in water damages and mold remediation.
Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
