Job Description:
The Service Technician will play a vital role in our production process, handling a variety of mechanical and construction-related tasks. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that combines automotive repair with hands-on construction, ensuring every van is built to perfection and our service customers are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical work on large vehicles, including lift kit installations, brake systems, and suspension upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and repair van conversion items.
- Assist with the installation of electrical, solar systems, cabin heaters, and equipment in custom vans, ensuring all systems meet safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to perform vehicle modifications based on customer specifications, ensuring all installations are secure, reliable, and built to last.
- Maintain and ensure proper operation of all equipment and tools, including lifts, diagnostics, and other mechanical & building tools.
- Inspect and test vehicles for functionality, diagnosing any mechanical, electrical, or structural issues.
- Work closely with other team members to support the completion of van builds, ensuring quality and efficiency in every project.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical work, particularly with large vehicles or RVs (Experience with van conversions or similar builds is a plus).
- Strong understanding of lift kit installations, brake systems, suspension, and general automotive repair.
- Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with electrical and solar systems in vehicles.
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working with large vehicle systems, such as RVs, vans, or trucks.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, solar panel installation, and energy systems.
- Familiarity with large brake systems and mechanical modifications.
- Experience with custom vehicle builds, RV's or conversions is a plus.
