Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.

Manage a portfolio of projects totaling $1M-$10M in revenue, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Supervise self-performing teams and manage subcontractor coordination as necessary.

Collaborate with superintendents on-site to ensure progress aligns with project objectives and safety protocols.

Maintain and update project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures.

Leadership and Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering regular updates and ensuring satisfaction.

Meet with superintendents and field teams to resolve challenges and drive progress.

Foster a team-oriented culture that promotes accountability and excellence.

Technical Expertise

Utilize construction management software to streamline operations and reporting.

Leverage knowledge of equipment operations and site work to guide decision-making and resolve issues efficiently.

Provide innovative solutions to challenges in heavy civil site work, including excavation, grading, and utility installations.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure all work adheres to OSHA standards, company policies, and industry regulations.

Promote and enforce a culture of safety on every job site.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

8+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction.

Strong knowledge of site work, grading, excavation, and utility installations.

Experience managing self-performing crews and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

OSHA 10-hour certification is required; higher certifications are preferred.

Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.

Technical expertise in operating and understanding heavy machinery is beneficial.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.

Tech-savvy and adept at using project management tools for planning and reporting.

Additional Requirements:

Valid driver's license; ability to pass a background check.

Willingness to travel to job sites as needed, with occasional flexibility for weekend work.
