Immediate full-time opening for a residential equipment operator. We are a small & professional excavating company looking for an experienced residential equipment operator. We mainly cover all of Phoenix, N Scottsdale, Scottsdale, Carefree, Cave Creek, and Paradise Valley. We have high-end customers that appreciate our work. The right candidate will have a professional attitude and be experienced in residential work. You can expect a phone and field interview. We value past history and recommendations. Hourly rate of pay is based on experience and capabilities to complete work. We have other benefits to be discussed in an interview. No medical insurance at this time.
Skills/ Requirements:
Ability to read residential G & D plans. Shoot grades. Understand grade stakes.
Perform start-up check lists
Operate the following efficiently: loader, back hoe, excavator, skid steer, mini-ex
Ability to achieve proper soil compaction
Operate equipment in a safe manner
Know and apply the 310 rule
Watch & report wear items early enough so they can be repaired in a scheduled manner: cutting edges, teeth, hoses, etc.
Keep equipment clean & free of trash, excess dirt & non-job related items. Keep windows clean. Perform daily equipment maintenance.
Evaluate equipment safety and insure there is no equipment abuse. Always comply with all company work & safety policies.
Receive and understand instructions for each phase of the job. Ask questions when in doubt
Operate equipment to complete job assigned
Work effectively with Supervision to meet requirements of the job. Work independently when necessary
This position requires the ability to do following on a regular / repeated basis without restriction or sustaining injury:
Lift and carry 50 (+ -) pounds.
Work the hours as required by the job including early morning, late evening, rarely but sometimes Saturday hours. Wear appropriate PPE.
Twist from side to side. Push, pull and carry heavy objects. Push, pull and carry objects of unique size and shape.
Carry small to mid-size tools Work without limitations in extremely hot conditions.
Bending over to pick up small - mid size/weight objects.
Work in field environment. Exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions, vibration and/or loud noise
Cell phone with text ability Non-smoker for job safety reasons
