360X Staffing is hiring for Steel Shop Fabrication welders and Fitters. This is a long term position that includes opportunity for OT weekly. Weld tests must be passed and will determine pay rate. We currently have openings for Night Shift ( 2nd Shift - 2:00pm start)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
● Layout, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
● Determines required equipment, welding methods, and welding techniques.
● Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
● Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.
● Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies.
● Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
● Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
● Removes rough spots from work workpiece, using a portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
● Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
● Follow blueprints to arrange metal pieces and temporarily fix them into position before welding.
● Keep the work area clean and organized.
● Make recommendations for process improvements.
● Perform equipment inspections prior to use.
● Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Plant and/or Maintenance Manager.
● Work accordingly to meet Safety and Quality goals.
● Work with the team to balance workload to meet On Time Delivery goals.
● Manage company resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
● Deburr and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
● Maintain professionalism in speech and action at all times.
● Required to follow all company policies.
● Other tasks/duties as assigned by Management.
