Framing Estimator
The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process. The candidate must have a strong Framing background, with many years of hands-on experience. Must be able to accurately perform lumber and hardware takeoffs for both residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
· Help Maintain scheduling, ordering, job starts and bid updates.
· Help with the collection of information, pricing and sourcing of vendors.
· Provide accurate takeoffs for lumber, hardware, equipment, and labor to establish accurate cost estimates.
· Provide field support for material ordering, material usage, truss production dates/ orders and hardware drops.
Qualifications
· Hands on experience in the wood framing field is a must.
· Solid understanding of framing processes and standards, construction codes and material and equipment use.
· Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans and provided accurate material takeoff's.
· Experience with takeoff software.
· 10 years of framing experience preferred.
