We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanic to oversee our fleet day-to-day operations and ensure optimal performance and maintenance of our vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to align fleet operations with company goals. The role is crucial for maintaining safety standards, enhancing customer service, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including familiarity with Bobcat skid steer and excavator, 2500, 3500, Medium Duty GM Road trucks.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Proficient in using power tools for assembly and repair tasks.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, customers and vendors.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A valid driver's license is required: additional certifications related to fleet management are a plus.
Duties:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
Diagnoses and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
Repair or replace faulty parts and components
Weld and solder as needed for repairs
Perform tire services
