European Techniques is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Purchasing Agent to join our team. Under general supervision, the candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with all suppliers of goods, materials and tooling utilized shop wide.
Activities include ordering inventory/raw materials/tooling/services etc. to meet established stocking criteria and order due dates as well as maintaining appropriate levels of communication with all suppliers.
Essential Functions
⢠Order materials (raw stock/tooling/hardware) for active and upcoming jobs
⢠Monitor and address pricing discrepancies with vendors
⢠Quote and negotiate optimal pricing as needed
⢠Track open purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
⢠Work with engineering and production managers to clarify material requisitions
⢠Arrange for outside services as needed
⢠Accurately maintain order placement tracking form
⢠Coordinate closely with and perform Receiving tasks as a back up
Qualifications
⢠Knowledge and ability to negotiate and communicate with vendors
⢠Ability to multi-task in a detailed oriented, fast paced manufacturing environment
⢠Demonstrated ability to perform effectively as a team player, carry out assignments timely and accurately
⢠Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
⢠Excellent organizational skills
⢠Must be proficient with spreadsheets (Excel and/or Google Docs), Outlook and comfortable using the internet for order placement, product searches, etc
⢠Effective verbal and written communication skills
⢠Minimum 1 year office experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities.

Pay range: $14 hr. + DOE
