Blueprints For Recovery is looking for a housing tech position in this position our housing techs help to further the ability of the chemically dependent individual to live a healthy lifestyle independently by supervising and assisting direct facility, managing house activities, and serving as a liaison between the Director of Housing and others involved with support services. This position reports directly to the BHT/BHPP in charge.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Hold and maintain the safety and well being of the client as the number one priority.

2. Adhere to staff schedules and client programming.

3. Attend all staff meetings and trainings.

4. Ensure that all paperwork submitted to supervisor(s) is accurate and up-to-date. (e.g., timesheets and mileage sheets)

5. Transport and or assist in transporting clients to and from appointments, meetings and school.

6. Converse with clients to promote social interaction and reinforce positive behaviors.

7. Document all house problems or incidents. Report safety issues timely.

8. Assess and respond to client crises or conflicts and that Clinical Director and Housing Directors are notified immediately.

9. Provide supervision and oversight for all clients.

10. May be required to update families of clients on weekly and/or bi-weekly basis.

11. Required to be available by phone while on shift.

12. When needed, monitor client self-administration of medication and document appropriately.

13. Monitor client chores (e.g. ensure that clients are completing morning chores, deep cleans and other household responsibilities.)

14. Investigate and attempt to resolve problems that arise in the house.

15. Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant living environment for clients.

16. Report needed household repairs to Program Director/Housing Director.

17. Ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.

18. Follow and complete any and all directives from supervisors.

19. Administers and oversees drug urinalysis screening of clients.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED

1. Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, especially word processing.

2. Ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports.

3. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to carry out and finish assigned projects.

4. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally

and in writing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

5. Ability to plan and organize work, and manage the projects and deadlines of him/herself.

6. Ability to maintain professional standards and demeanor, including the confidentiality of

employee and client data and other sensitive information.

7. Demonstrated competence with, and continued commitment to respect for cultural

differences and diversity.

8. Recognition of the limits of ones own professional expertise and the willingness to seek

supervision and/or support, as needed.

9. Makes decisions with the clients and agency employees well-being and best interests in

mind.

10. Ability to pass background checks required by Blueprints Recovery Center.

Must be able to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs, speak English, hear, use a telephone, drive an automobile, and operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier, and fax machine. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
