We are a rescue ranch. A home to animals who have been given a second chance at life. Each animal has their own story and specific needs that requires detailed, intentional care and a welcoming presence.
We are hiring for a full-time caretaker for the animals and the property. Responsibilities include horse feeding, stall maintenance and any tasks related to the care we provide our animals. Additional responsibilities include irrigation maintenance, green house and outdoor gardening, property upkeep and dwellings maintenance.
Experience in property maintenance, irrigation, gardening, greenhouse care and working with a team is encouraged. Tractor use, backhoe use and horse trailering experience are a big plus.
Availability to stay 4-5 consecutive overnights in provided housing on property is required.
Preferred Skillsets:
⁃ Experienced in providing care to horses
⁃ Compassionate towards animals
⁃ Can work independently on tasks
⁃ Strong communication abilities with management skills
⁃ Irrigation knowledge
⁃ Handyman skills
⁃ Local to Verde Valley, Prescott, Flagstaff or relocation interest
⁃ Must have reliable vehicle with AWD or 4WD
⁃ Heavy lifting is required
We are looking for someone enjoys working outside, can work alongside others and commit long term (2 yrs+) after introductory trial period.
