The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of property management, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Apartment Manager will be responsible for supervising on-site staff and 3rd party vendors, maintaining the property’s standards, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and managing administrative tasks effectively, as well as the following:
Duties
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the apartment complex, ensuring compliance with local and state regulatory agencies, and tenant lease compliance.
Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering a positive community atmosphere.
Conduct regular inspections of the property and units to ensure facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
Handle administrative tasks including screening, lease and renewal agreements, tenant records, and performance reporting.
Utilize property management software, AppFolio, for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services at competitive rates.
Implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain current residents.
Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of turnovers and building issues affecting tenants.
Monthly inventory and order of office, maintenance and janitorial supplies.
Attend community marketing opportunities to build affiliate relationships
Skills
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance practices.
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Proficient in phone etiquette and customer relationship management techniques.
Experience in facilities management to maintain high standards of property upkeep.
Familiarity with legal administrative tasks related to leasing and tenant relations.
Proficiency in using property management software such as AppFolio is advantageous.
Strong negotiation skills for effective contract management with vendors and contractors.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction
Proficiency in property management and leasing processes
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law
Ability to effectively manage conflicts and negotiate agreements
Excellent computer skills, including experience with property management software
Prior administrative experience in real estate or related field valuable
Strong communication skills for customer relationship management
