Estimator Job Description: Position will start part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
Review and understand construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs using Stacks or Builder trend.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in project plans and site conditions.
Gather pricing information for materials, labor, and equipment.
Attend pre-bid conferences and client meetings as necessary.
Prepare detailed and organized project proposals and estimates.
Develop project schedules as needed.
Provide daily updates and communicate clearly with business owner and office staff.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction estimating.
Minimum 2 years’ experience using Stacks.
Experience in both residential and commercial concrete construction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of construction budgeting and basic accounting principles.
