Position Overview-
Mile High Motorsports, LLC is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Dismantler to assist with the disassembly of motorcycles, with a primary focus on Harley-Davidson models. This role involves breaking down bikes into salvageable parts, cleaning components, and ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials. If you have a passion for motorcycles and mechanical work, this could be a great fit. While experience with Harley-Davidson bikes is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate who demonstrates mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities-
Disassemble motorcycles (primarily Harley-Davidson models) using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
Identify, test, clean, and salvage reusable parts such as engines, frames, transmissions, and accessories.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials like fluids and batteries.
Assist with inventory management (listing) and part preparation for resale or recycling as needed.
Requirements-
Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with tools (e.g., wrenches, sockets, air tools).
Access to personal tools is preferred, though some tools may be provided.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical capability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling.
Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work as an independent contractor in the US.
Preferred Qualifications-
Prior experience disassembling or repairing Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Familiarity with motorcycle parts and salvage processes.
Any relevant certifications (e.g., ASE or motorcycle-specific training) is a plus.
Compensation-
This is an independent contractor (1099) position with a flat-rate pay structure, varying by bike. Compensation rates will be discussed during the interview process and are competitive based on experience and project complexity. Work is project-based and on an as-needed basis, ideal for someone seeking flexible, supplemental income rather than full-time employment.
