Job Title: Civil Engineer/Project ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona (Hybrid). This role involves leading and managing land development and infrastructure projects across various sectors such as education, entertainment, retail, industrial, warehousing, residential, and public infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of the projects while providing technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior engineers, designers, and technicians.Responsibilities
Plan, design/engineer, and manage the execution of civil engineering projects such as land/site development, roads, water supply systems, sewer collection systems, and drainage systems.
Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties such as clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
Monitor and control the progress, quality, and performance of the projects, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues and manage changes and conflicts.
Conduct site inspections/observations to check compliance with permitted design drawings and provide technical support and solutions to field staff and contractors.
Lead and motivate a project team, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among team members.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methods, and tools.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in the land development sector.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
Proficient in using various engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree or diploma in civil engineering technology or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in the civil engineering field, preferably in the land development sector.
Proficient in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards, including site grading, drainage, and utility design.
Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
