Job Summary: The Porter is responsible for handling daily maintenance and policing of our client located in City, State. The Porter will assist Building Management with all requests and projects assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Service all public and operating space throughout the building

Facilitate plaza and/or parking garage areas as specified

Keep elevator cars clean and neat

Preserve lobby and first impression areas

Uphold exterior of building

Maintain restroom cleanliness

Check and restock all restroom products

Police building grounds

Police the dock

Police stairwells daily, dust mop stairwells weekly and damp mop stair landings & treads monthly

Snow removal

Respond to special requests throughout the day

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year Porter experience

Strong communication skills

Must be willing to work assigned hours

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels

Work in close proximity to others

Work outdoors in all changing weather condition in geographical area

Standing and/or walking, sitting, stooping, or kneeling

Capable of training Expeditors offices in proper US government invoicing procedures. Generates weekly reports. Including invoice audit results, disputed invoices, accounts receivable/aging reports for customers. Works with payees to ensure invoices are paid timely. Communicates status updates with internal stakeholders. This includes publishing weekly accounting reports in SharePoint, as well as leading meetings to communicate to specific offices/departments. Works to improve the freight payment cycle time for all branches with US government related business. Must be a United States Citizen and be able to work at a US Expeditors branch. Experience with accounts payable/receivable. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrates proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. US Military service and/or US Government employment experience preferred. Fluent in English.
