The Lead Sales Associate for Lilly Pulitzer at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is a full-time, hourly position responsible for the overall management and performance of the Lilly Pulitzer shop. Reporting directly to the Retail Manager, this role is focused on achieving budgeted net sales and direct contribution goals, while delivering an exceptional guest experience and embodying the Lilly Pulitzer brand. The Lead Sales Associate is also responsible for building and leading a high-performing team and is expected to consistently model the company’s Core Values and Core Leadership Qualities.Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Retail Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Building High Performing Teams: Recruit and Develop an A+ teamDevelop, inspire, and retain top talentCoach and develop to maximize the success and selling potential of all sales associatesSet and reinforce clear and aligned expectations, performance, results and accountability with all associatesEffectively and fairly manage and drive high performance of all associatesCreate a strong store culture consistent with the Lilly Pulitzer brand, resulting in a positive and motivating atmosphereEnsure onboarding and continued training of the Lilly Pulitzer sales associate teamEnsure that all staff is trained properly in their respective roles and responsibilitiesDeliver an exceptional guest/customer experienceDemonstrate high level of business acumenProtect the assets of the storeStrong organizational and operational competenciesAchieve or exceed Budgeted Net SalesPositively communicate personal and outlet sales goals (Budget, ADS, UPT, SPH, EES) promotions and incentives to teamUnderstand financial results, annual budget and utilization of information to impact business favorablyApply and foster strategic and critical thinkingDaily Meetings & Tasks:Strong command of storeReview daily AVERO commentary, follow up and accountabilityDaily merchandise pull/restockResponsible for overall organization and optimization of store functionalityCompliance with retail store and company policy and proceduresSafeguard assets of storeBuild and cultivate effective relationships with the guest/customerMaintain an Upbeat, with a Team approach, atmosphere within the Sales Team, that encourages growth and creativityInspire others to deliver an exceptional in store experience consistent with company cultureCreate an optimistic, high energy, team oriented, and sunny store atmosphereWeekly Meetings & Tasks:Attend the weekly Retail Leads meetingReview and submit weekly buyers reportReview and execute product specials, sales promotions, and new product launchesQuarterly Meetings & Tasks:Execute quarterly shop inventories in partnership with Retail Manager and Retail Distribution Center TeamCreate and schedule quarterly shop deep cleaningReview Team training needs developing appropriate training plansSelling Effectiveness: Analyze business performance and develop clear, actionable plans to optimize results and ensure effective execution of key initiativesFoster strong team communication, reinforcing leadership accountability for driving sales at all levelsBuild and maintain a highly satisfied and loyal customer base through consistent team follow-up and performance accountabilityCreate and implement company selling strategies in alignment with brand goalsDevelop initiatives that enhance the overall shopping experienceLead the retail team in executing selling strategies to meet and exceed performance expectationsLive the Culture: Make informed, fact-based decisions that ensure the shop remains well-stocked, visually abundant, and aligned with Lilly Pulitzer brand standardsCultivate a store environment focused on consistently delivering exceptional and engaging customer experiencesLead by example in creating memorable guest interactions and reinforcing a customer-first mindsetChampion a culture of recognition by celebrating colleague contributions and successesBuild a cohesive, high-performing team tailored to meet the needs of the retail divisionMaintain strong, open communication with the Retail Manager, Senior Buyer, and RDC team to proactively address opportunities and ensure timely, professional resolutionOperational Excellence: Work with Visual Merchandiser to execute floor set updates and product transitions in alignment with business needs and seasonal changesPartner with the Buying team to support and implement action plans that drive results and operational efficiencyEnsure full compliance with all company policies and procedures, maintaining a high standard of accountabilityIntegrate Loss Prevention and safety protocols into daily operations to promote a secure and well-managed environment
