Understand and interpret the data obtained from PAP appliances to ensure effective therapy. Perform patient education regarding sleep apnea and its therapy options. Perform set ups for unattended sleep studies and any other duties that are necessary for efficient delivery of quality healthcare to Mayo Clinic patients. The individual must demonstrate the knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the lifespan. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.During the selection process you will participate in a virtual (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the virtual interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question — Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps as appropriate.QualificationsAssociate of Applied Science degree or equivalent in Sleep Medicine (Polysomnography) or Respiratory Therapy is required.Additional Qualifications :
Work experience in a patient contact, health care area is desirable
Experience in sleep therapy and/or respiratory care is preferred. Note: Experience in Respiratory Care (RRT) desired, Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) will be considered.
License/Certifications :
RPSGT and/or CRT, RRT.
Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
Current Arizona State Respiratory License if CRT/RRT.
CCSH (Certification in Clinical Sleep Health) required within three years of hire date-this is already part of the current job posting.
