The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will work with Senior Engineers to build, support, and manage a multi cloud infrastructure.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Junior Cloud Engineer role will deliver on the following responsibilities:

Works in the design, implementation, and administration of cloud-based infrastructure with automation first approach.

Build security as a first-class citizen in everything we do from Cloud Infrastructure, OS, VM, Containers, Kubernetes etc.

Design and provision Cloud networking, VPN, firewall, DNS, CDN etc.

Optimizes cloud environments for performance, scalability, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Build and drive Monitoring, Observability for cloud Infrastructure.

CICD – Build secure CICD with focus towards developer productivity.

Build KPI dashboard for cloud infrastructure, cost/billing etc.

Contributes to and promotes best practices and guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in the Cloud Platform

Troubleshoots problems across a wide range of technologies and services.

Participate in after-hours maintenance and respond to emergencies when necessary.

Support on-call rotation.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Masters preferred in Computer Science.

1 + years of experience on public cloud platforms – Azure/AWS/GCP

Infrastructure as code using TerraForm is highly preferred.

Strong programming skills in python/scripting (powershell, bash etc.) or any other language of choice and be able to learn new language.

Fundamental understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Automation, Security, Networking with a demonstrable project/industry experience.

Broader understanding (experience preferred) with Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Security, SRE, CICD with focus towards Automation using TerraForm, Ansible.

Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals. Windows welcome.

Solid knowledge of Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Azure/ GCP with Cloud Security certifications has added advantage.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Team player, ability to work within team and also be independent.

Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to clearly communicate.

Innovator and one who keeps tabs on various industry trends, cloud native advances and bring to team(s) attention for POC, Implementation.
