Are you a skilled and passionate surgery technician with spay/neuter experience? Pet Allies is seeking a dedicated professional to join our high-volume spay/neuter clinic, providing affordable services to our community and ensuring the well-being of shelter animals.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer pre-surgical medications as directed by the veterinarian
Administer medications orally, subcutaneously (SQ), intramuscularly (IM), and intravenously (IV)
Perform surgical patient preparation and monitor anesthesia
Assist in post-operative recovery and monitor vital signs
Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, including volunteers, to provide high-quality medical and surgical care
Qualifications:
Completion of a Veterinary Assistant program with 2–3 years of experience in veterinary medicine, specifically in spay/neuter surgery OR
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the State of Arizona, with up-to-date knowledge of best practices in spay/neuter
Strong written and oral communication skills
Reliable, efficient, and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
Salary: Commensurate with experience
