Lead the design and architecture of the AD infrastructure, including domain controllers, sites, trusts, forests, and group policies.
Develop and implement security models and access controls in line with DoD and industry best practices.
Design and implement AD schema extensions, delegation models, and OU structures to meet organizational and mission needs.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of AD Domain Services (AD DS), AD Federation Services (AD FS), AD Certificate Services (AD CS), and related technologies.
Manage and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce organizational security policies and configurations.
Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities related to AD.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for AD-related issues acting as an escalation point for complex issues collaborating with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional problems.
Monitor AD performance, replication health, and overall infrastructure stability using various tools and techniques to include using automation.
Optimize AD performance through tuning, resource allocation, infrastructure upgrades, and automation.
Develop and deliver training and mentorship to junior staff and other IT teams on AD-related topics.
Remain current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to AD and identity management.
Lead or participate in AD-related projects, such as migrations, consolidations, or new implementations working closely with other IT teams, including security, network, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of AD.
Contribute to the strategic planning of the AD environment, including roadmap development for future upgrades, migrations, or cloud integration, to include evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve the AD infrastructure.

BA/BS degree inInformation Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Ten (10+) years of directly related experience.
Security Administrator – Associate (MS-500).
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-100 + MS-101) (current MS-offered equivalent is acceptable).
Additional Certification Required: (most have one of the following)
CASP+: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner plus
CCNP: CISCO Certified Network Professional
CCSP: Certified Cloud Security Professional
FITSP-O: Federal IT Security Professional-Operator-NG
GFACT: GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies
Preferred:
MA/MS with twelve (12+) years ofexperience.
IAT Level III Certification
ITIL Foundations
Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements.
Experience leading a large, technically complex organization.
Demonstrated success and experience managing contractors in a DoD environment, working with Military and civilian leadership, while obtaining mission success and program profitability.
