Job Overview:As the community Maintenance Technician, your primary focus will be maintaining the swimming pools and related equipment, ensuring they are clean and functioning properly. Additional duties include general upkeep of the community building, common areas, and amenities, as well as tasks like cleaning, painting, repairs, outdoor maintenance, trash collection, and window washing.Compensation: $20+ per hour, depending on experienceFirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.Your Responsibilities:
Perform light maintenance duties as needed
Ensure general upkeep of the community clubhouse and common areas
Check pool equipment and trouble shoot issues as needed
Test water and add chemicals as needed
Empty skimmers and pump strainer
Vacuum pool and remove debris from floor
Brush steps, walls and tiles
Skim debris off surface of pools
Backwash filters
Record work performed and maintain inventory of chemicals, parts and supplies as needed
Quickly and clearly communicate internally and with staff via email and reports
Reposition pool furniture
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrate organizational skills and be detail oriented
Must be able to effectively communicate through written & verbal means
Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them according to their level of importance
Proven time management abilities, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
Education and Experience:
2+ years of professional pool service experience required
Physical Requirements:
Walk and move throughout the community common areas and facilities
Sit and stand for moderate periods of time
Able to lift/ carry 60+ pounds
