Our Customer located in Tempe; AZ is seeking an experienced Interface / API Developer. Someone who enjoys working on technology-based business solutions and understands that great applications are built on solid foundations. An experienced programmer with good range of skills from requirements gathering to architectural design and coding best practices. The ideal candidate will be able to take ownership of challenging and mission critical projects while functioning as a collaborative and well-respected member of the development team. This developer will need to possess a service-oriented mentality and an ability to work through complex problems while being able to effectively communicate with the team and with product owners. We are looking for someone that takes pride in being part of a group that leverages technology to deliver the best patient care in the hospice industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks
• Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages (C#)
• Develop technical specifications and architecture
• Test and debug various APIs, interfaces, and services
• Review and refactor code
• Deploy fully functional interfaces and services
• Upgrade existing program, report, and file interfaces
• Support and train junior developers
• Document development and operational procedures

Desired Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in .Net Development (C# experience required)
• 5+ years' experience in developing API, interfaces, and backend business applications
• 3+ years' experience in SQL Development and Database Architecture
• 3+ years' experience with Microsoft T-SQL and building complex queries
• Experience using the MS Visual Studio and SSMS environments
• Experience with developing Windows Service applications using C#
• Understanding of data structures and ability to create functional data models
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities
• Solid verbal and written communication skills suitable for a professional environment
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, identify facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to create, professionally document and execute test plans
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred but not required
