Job summary
Want to build highly scalable systems that allow selling partners to submit and retrieve bulk data at scale? If yes, Feed and Report platform team is hiring for SDEs to add new capabilities to our platform and build Data Kiosk product that will enable our customers to leverage dynamic reporting capabilities.

You will be a member of a world-class software development team that is comprised of Software Dev. Engineers, Support Engineers and TPM. The team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and scaling the feeds and reports systems that support our growing customer base and the work environment is fast-paced and collaborative. Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:

• Innovate & design for solutions to provide dynamic reporting capability at scale.
• Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in Java and other object-oriented languages.
• Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a micro services architecture.
• Collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry to work on complex challenges in large-scale computing and find out what it takes to engineer systems for "Amazon Scale"
• Own and operate the systems that you build based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements.

A day in the life

• The average day is focused on delivering upon our prioritized product features and collaborating with members of the team on planning and designing future features.
• We gather on a daily Scrum to support each other in our work and help overcome blockers as a team.

About the team
FRP team owns durable, secure and highly scalable ingest and orchestration platform for feed and report requests. We provide our customers the mechanism by which outside and internal sellers can integrate their systems with Amazon. They use our feed capability to send bulk data and use our reporting capability to retrieve bulk data.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience taking a lead role in developing complex software systems that have been successfully launched to customers
• Experience with distributed systems, consistent hashing, distributed locking, replication, and load balancing
• Experience in driving systemic operational improvements
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including communicating with other technical teams, product management, and senior management
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior software engineers in all aspects of the software engineering craft
