Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team based in Tempe, Arizona. The Controller will be crucial in managing all aspects of our finance group. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from supervising a small team to working closely with senior management on operational matters aimed at enhancing customer service, performance, and profitability. Responsibilities: Oversee all key accounting and finance functions, including accounts receivable and payable, inventory, and contract billing Conduct monthly and quarterly close activities Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) Produce forecasts and reports for internal and external stakeholders Supervise a team of 2-3 staff members Work closely with the CEO to improve customer service, performance, and profitability Manage customer billing and vendor issues effectively Prepare and manage financial forecasting, budgets, and reporting for the company Drive business process improvement by introducing best practices to the accounting and planning functions Assist the CEO in developing and implementing cost reduction strategies Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Requirements Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing processes and procedures Capability to manage and oversee Budget Processes Understanding of Construction Accounting principles Ability to develop and implement financial control systems Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and prepare reports Excellent leadership skills to manage accounting teams Strong communication skills to liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is required A Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
