We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to define, design, and lead the transformation of our enterprise infrastructure into a modern, cloud-centric ecosystem.  This position will assist the organization migrate from a hybrid azure AD environment where much of the data and infrastructure is on prem into a cloud based environment. This role focuses on architecting secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure, while providing technical leadership and governance across infrastructure, identity, and automation domains.The ideal candidate is a strategic technologist with deep hands-on experience in Azure architecture, Infrastructure-as-Code, and enterprise cloud governance — capable of bridging business goals with technical implementation.  The ideal candidate should also have experience with and a deep understanding of migrating from on prem/hybrid environments into the Azure cloud.Cloud Architecture & StrategyDevelop and own the enterprise cloud architecture roadmap, aligning with business objectives and IT strategy.Design secure, high-availability Azure environments, including Landing Zones, networking, and identity integration.Define and enforce governance frameworks, cost optimization strategies, and compliance controls.Evaluate emerging Azure capabilities and recommend adoption paths to leadership.Infrastructure Design & AutomationArchitect Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.Oversee the design of automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.Establish standards for scripting, automation, and reusable infrastructure modules.Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on IaC best practices.Security & GovernanceChampion Zero Trust Architecture principles across all infrastructure layers.Define and implement identity and access management strategies leveraging Azure AD, RBAC, and Conditional Access.Partner with Security and Compliance teams to design proactive monitoring, incident response, and audit frameworks.Drive cloud security posture management (CSPM) and infrastructure compliance automation.Hybrid Infrastructure & ModernizationLead the design and migration of on-premise workloads to Azure.Architect hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, ExpressRoute, private endpoints) ensuring resilience and performance.Provide oversight of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and their integration into the hybrid model.Collaboration & LeadershipAct as a trusted advisor to IT leadership on cloud adoption, architecture decisions, and infrastructure investments.Collaborate with software, network, and security architects to ensure cohesive enterprise design.Conduct architecture reviews, create documentation, and promote architectural standards across teams.Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is Hybrid at our Tempe location.
Salary Range: $140k-$150k DOE
