Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Manager, Sourcing – Management in Tempe, Arizona. The Sourcing Manager will be a central figure in our team, guiding the development and execution of strategic sourcing activities, optimizing our supply base, and managing risk. This role is vital to our operations, contributing to cost reduction initiatives, product transfers, and the introduction of new products.About the position:We are in search of a skilled Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities for critical product transfers. This position will require managing complex projects effectively, utilizing strong analytical skills, and maintaining clear lines of communication across multiple functional groups.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities in assigned projects, supply base, and/or categories.
Ensure the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.
Manage projects and strategies related to product transfers, cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization and rationalization, risk assessments, and new product introductions.
Interact with multiple functional groups to add suppliers to Approved Supplier Listings.
Develop cross-functional mitigation strategies for critical materials to support product transfers and ensure continuity of the supply during transitions.
Frequent interaction with suppliers, providing communications of transfers to the supply base, and keeping multiple PM's across the project updated on the progress of the Sourcing project workstream.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Science-related field. Proven experience in Sourcing and Supply Chain Management. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Payroll and Clerical Duties. Ability to handle and ensure the quality of materials. Knowledge of 'About Time' software or similar time management tools. Strong financial management skills. Experience in negotiation and forming agreements with suppliers. Ability to monitor progress and implement necessary changes. Understanding of engineering as it relates to sourcing and materials handling. Experience in optimizing sourcing processes. Proficient in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies. Experience in managing third-party relationships, including contractual obligations. Analytical skills to track and reduce costs. Experience in strategic source activities. Ability to work onsite. Proficiency in Supplier Management.
