You see tough challenges as opportunities to learn and step up to handle them with enthusiasm.What you'll likely work on:Access and prepare medical records as needed for patients, patients’ authorized representatives, internal staff, and external third partiesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of medical records and release of health information regulations (e.g., HIPAA) to ensure accurate processingPerform administrative duties including but not limited to: answering the phone, faxing and emailing confidential information, and basic computer utilizationProvide excellent customer service to all internal and external partiesMedical Records team fosters this trust through one of the most vital parts of our health experience: access to medical information. The medical records specialist is responsible for timely and accurate processing of medical records requests from patients, their authorized representatives, providers, and other third parties. The specialist also facilitates responses to patients’ rights requests pertaining to medical records as provided for by HIPAA and other federal and state privacy laws. In addition to responding to requests, the specialist performs a variety of administrative tasks related to health information in support of services provided by One Medical.Main Position Details:Start: 9/23Pay: $23.25/HourSchedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm (8-Hour Shift)Location: Tempe, AZ. Near N Priest & Rio SaladoAdditional Skills & Qualifications:6+ months prior experience executing medical records requests AND 6 months of contact center or customer service experience within the last 4 yearsDeep understanding of HIPAA guidelines and associated privacy policies Excellent written and verbal communication skillsA high comfort level typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systemsStrong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on meeting goals and deadlines despite obstaclesExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
