Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing payroll to ensure compliance with wage and benefit requirements, conducting detailed investigations, and liaising with various departments to ensure overall labor compliance. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive audits of payroll to confirm adherence to wage rates, benefits, and apprenticeship prerequisites. Examine timecards and job designations to validate correct worker assignments and pay computations. Compare payroll data with project documentation to spot inconsistencies. Establish direct communication with apprenticeships and unions to meet client-specific needs. Attend hearings and legal proceedings as the representative of the Labor Compliance Program department. Ensure accurate and compliant submission of certified payroll reports to government agencies. Perform field site visits to confirm worker identity, job classifications, and hours worked. Investigate labor compliance complaints, including wage underpayments, misclassification, and apprenticeship violations. Maintain a detail oriented relationship with the Department of Industrial Relations and review all related decisions. Review all contracts for compliance related to certified payroll, skilled labor, permanent positions, diversity, and other workforce-related obligations. Work with project teams and relevant departments to ensure monitoring and reporting plans are implemented effectively. Keep abreast of federal and state labor laws, including prevailing wage regulations, and incorporate changes into company policies. Educate project managers, field supervisors, and HR personnel on labor compliance regulations and procedures.
