Job Purpose: To repair and maintain fleet vehicles, including engine oil changes and other related components. Tire rotations, flat repairs, and tire replacement. Diagnose drivability issues, A/C service and repairs. Also the technician will make repairs on light duty towable trailers.

Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities:

Diagnoses and repair light duty trucks, cars, suv’s and light duty trailers.

Perform tire repairs and replacement.

Repair safety-related components and attachments to include strobe lights, toolboxes etc. ensuring proper and safe operation.

Operates a vehicle well enough to diagnose proper function and make repairs timely.

Diagnose and repair A/C and heating issues.

Must have extensive knowledge of operating shop tools appropriately and in a safe manner, i.e. auto lift, jacks, proper blocking techniques, A/C machine operations, tire repairs both mounting and dismounting of tires.

Must have customer service skills and the willingness to support operations.

Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management.

Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Work Qualifications:

Must have the ability to read and understand service manuals.

Must have the knowledge to use electronic diagnostic equipment, vehicle lift, tire machines, brake lathe and other related shop equipment.

Must have extensive parts knowledge of light duty vehicles.

Must possess ASE certification for the purpose of repairing automotive a/c systems.

Owns their own tools to perform the necessary repairs with the exception of specialized tools required for a specific repair.

Communicates effectively and maintains good problem resolution.

Follows instructions and makes decisions based on verifiable standards.

Demonstrates attentive and active listening skills and learns quickly on the job.

Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.

Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

ASE certification is preferred.

Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience.

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
