AECOM is seeking a Quality Control Specialist IV (Inspector / Quality Assurance Manager) to be based in the following locations: DOUGLAS, AZ.AECOM is seeking a highly qualified resilient qualified Quality Control Specialist to provide embedded leadership of the QA/QC and On-Site Inspection support for a Federal LPOE (Land Port of Entry) modernization construction project.  Project is located at the Raul Hector Castro LPOE in Douglas Arizona, and the position is fulltime embedded at the project site.  This opening is a multi-year full-time embedded on-site field construction support role serving as Quality Control Specialist with position defined by Client as “Lead Inspector / Quality Assurance Manager”.Job Duties:This position requires someone who is an expert in the observation and comprehension of construction work.The Construction Manager shall observe construction work that will be done by the Design-Build Contractor to review for conformance with the Design-Build contract requirements and the approved Construction Documents prepared by the DB Contractor.The Lead Construction Inspector must serve in the role of Lead Construction Inspector and must possess an architectural, engineering, or construction background, and have previous experience as a lead inspector and satisfy the requirements of the Construction Inspection Staff listed below.Position Summary:Experience in preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records. Experience in conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects, and briefing clients and management personnel.In-depth knowledge of construction practices and workmanship, including experience in proper uses of construction materials and installation methods.In-depth experience in interpreting construction drawings and specifications on construction projects.Ability to accurately incorporate active site and market conditions into guidance and impacts to construction costs and time impacts for changes, and to effectively collaborate with Cost Estimator and Scheduler to produce accurate summaries and updates.Experience in making materials take-offs for construction work, pricing the value of needed work, evaluating proposals and Bill of materials, negotiating equitable contract adjustments.Ability and experience in the inspection of materials, workmanship, and construction and installation and activation / commissioning of various of specialty systems (Building Systems - BAS/DDC and MEP, Fire Life Safety - FA/AFSS, Security - IT/IS/NII, etc) within the inspector's area of expertise. Knowledge of safety practices in the construction industry including a background of familiarity with OSHA safety requirements on construction projects.Prior experience working on GSA and/or other federal agency or government construction projects. Prior experience in the support and management of successfully completed design-build construction
