IT Support Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patch, configure, and deploy network cables and wire ethernet ports

Network cabling maintenance and support

Provide customer service and help desk technical support to staff members

Assemble, deploy, troubleshoot, maintain office computers, laptops, POS terminals, printers (All computer software)

Provide support for all IT related show/event services (e.g., VoIP telephones, wired/wireless show networks, installation of temporary ethernet and fiber cabling, and portable box office systems).

Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical support problems and equipment, systems, & infrastructure.

Assist staff members with application issues, hardware problems, requests for hardware/software, device connectivity issues, new user accounts.

Responsible for maintenance of IT inventory.

Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to Events team and clients.

Work with ASM Global’s corporate IT team to implement and support central services as needed.

Coordinate and manage all aspects of in-house and 3rd party (contracted) IT services.

Oversee installation, configuration, and management of future upgrades and new IT systems.

Act as Project Manager for any IT installations and/or upgrades.

Other duties as assigned.

Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing IT infrastructure across multiple technical disciplines.

Relevant experience or college degree in a technical field is strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Adaptable and open to change in processes as experience and technology dictate.

Ability to perform duties and make decisions independently.

Creative in problem resolution and innovative in generating solutions.

Proficient decision-making and time management skills.

Maintains current knowledge of technology trends

Experience in configuring, administrating, and supporting Microsoft operating systems (Windows 8/10 and Windows Server OS).

Strong understanding of wired and wireless network management and logical design. Working knowledge of wired/wireless products with major provider (such as Cisco) is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Azure AD.

Experience configuring, administrating, and supporting voice over IP telephone systems.
